How are sex toys produced?

Sex toys have been in our daily life for many years. They bring us a lot of happiness and enhance the relationship between couples. So, such a magical product which brings you much joy, do you know how it’s made? From generating a design idea to delivering it to your hand, do you know it experiences how many processes? 1.Product design

Before a product is produced, firstly it comes from a design or an idea. A good designer always has all kinds of inspirations and ideas constantly: what clients' need do we should solve? What kind of product appearance is more popular? What kind of curve could make the product feeling perfectly? What kind of function should be added in this product? Designers start building new concept through their pencil or digital software, and in order to work out satisfactory products, from a original thought to final product effect, they make repeated modification and optimization again and again.

2. Making a functional prototype

Once new designs are confirmed to develop, our designers and engineers start working together, turning the rendering product image into a physical staff, like a amazing magic. During this process, it needs countless testing, adjustment and modification. Such as, how to make all parts inside to working smoothly, without failure? How to reduce the noise to reach standard? How to reduce the cost by using suitable parts and creating suitable structure? How to set up the programming on PCB to achieve perfect function? What surface treatment technology could make the products to feel great?

Normally, the spare parts are made by 3D printing process, both for silicone and ABS parts. In order to let clients have a great experience with the functional prototype of our new products, we also choose to develop sample mold of the silicone. Once confirming the functional prototype is qualified, we will proceed with next step.

3. Making the molds of mass production

According to the 3D files of qualified prototype, the mold manufacturing workshop start making steel molds of the mass production. In order to keep high-quality products, we proceed pilot production with a small quantity, and then make adjustment based on pilot production analysis result. Engineer team follow up on all process.

4.Silicone mixing

After the production molds are completed, we could start producing silicone parts. The first step is silicone mixing.

According to the color sample or Pantone Num., our experienced worker will calculate the weights of different raw materials and operate it in silicone mixing machine, such as vulcanizing agent, color paste etc. The well-mixed silicone material will be divided into many pieces based on confirmed thickness and width, and when making silicone sleeves, the workers put the divided silicone in the machines.

5. Preparing all spare parts

We produce silicone sleeves and some ABS spare parts in own workshops, and also purchase main parts from long-cooperated suppliers, such as PCB, battery, motors, screws etc.. You see, a vibrator really contains so many parts.

When producing silicone parts, our experienced workers put the divided silicone materials into the automatic machine, waiting for the silicone part to come out. During this period, our workers check the quality and make adjustment in time if necessary.

6.Product assembly

Now, we will proceed a very important production process : assembly.

When all spare parts are ready well, the workers start assembling based on standard operation instruction, firstly assembling inner structure, and then glue the silicone sleeves. During this process, every worker pay most attention to every parts to ensure its qualified, and most important, we do full inspection on function to ensure all products working perfectly.  

7. Testing and Inspection

In order to keep consistent high quality, we always do so many different testing in different stage, such as functional prototype testing, pre-production product testing, assembling testings etc..

For a finished product, we also do sampling inspection, like Salt Spray Test, Waterproof test, Drop Test, Noise Test etc.. For main parts, we do sampling inspection too, like Battery life test, Paint Adhesion Test on silicone, Motor performance Test etc..

8.Shipment

All products are put in product warehouse after packed, and waiting for shipment instruction.
